Dual credit students at 太阳城官网 have the opportunity to learn and socialize both in and outside of the classroom. Dual credit students have access to the same support and enrichment activities as traditional students. These include, library services, tutoring, and career counseling. 他们还被邀请参加校园举办的活动.

  • Academic courses are typically those taken in the first and second year of college and are necessary to complete an Associate's Degree. These courses generally apply to a bachelor's degree at any State of Texas four-year university. (Please get in touch with your high school counselor or GC advisor for specific transfer considerations.)These courses may be taken at the high school, online, or the college campus. (Examples: English, Government, History, Biology, Math, Psychology, Art)

    Technical courses lead to a certificate or Associate of Applied Science related to various high-demand occupations that require one to two years of training and allow students to go to work immediately after completion. These courses are not guaranteed to transfer; however, many GC programs have articulation agreements with certain four-year universities that allow for the transfer of credit to technical degrees to lead to a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Science. Don't hesitate to get in touch with your advisor for more information. (Examples: Welding, EMT, Cyber Security, 烹饪艺术, 电气技术)

  • Registration and payment deadlines are before the beginning of each semester. Check the 校历 located in the Student Planner for dates.

    Note: Students who have a balance and have not made payment arrangements prior to the first day of class may be dropped from their courses for non-payment.

  • Students may access required textbooks/materials for each course in the student planner by going to Home > 课程搜索 > Course > Book Information.

    Please visit with your high school counselor for more information about Follett Access.

  • No. High school students are not allowed to enroll in developmental-level courses. Students who wish to do so should contact their high school counselor to discuss if College Prep courses are available through their high school.
